Rawan Eltanbadawy is a creative and art director in Cairo, working across fashion, visual storytelling and culture-driven projects. Her site asks one question before anything else, sound or silence, then opens on her name over a picture that breaks into a field of squares as you scroll; every project is a film that scatters into its own page.

What we built

  1. 01A question before anything else: yes plays a loop cut from her own Nile footage, no goes in quietly
  2. 02Her name, enormous and a little transparent, over a picture that opens into a field of squares as you scroll
  3. 03Her disciplines scattered over the picture as labels that drop into a pile you can grab and throw
  4. 04Her films hung in space, each at its own depth, turning slowly as if in orbit
  5. 05A project that opens by scattering its film across the screen and gathering it as the hero of its page
  6. 06Each project one continuous scroll through its pictures, and a works menu on a pane of glass over the page
  7. 07An about page where her photograph, then her objects, float and bounce off the edges, a new one at every hit
  8. 08Contact letters that answer the cursor: they rise, lean and throw a small red echo
Rawan Eltanbadawy's name over a window onto the Nile, her disciplines scattered across it like labels
The picture behind her name breaking into a field of squares as the page scrolls
Her about page: her words, with her photograph floating across them
