A creative director's world, opened by her name written in Arabic calligraphy.
Nour Koura is a multidisciplinary Egyptian creative working across art direction, editorial design and branding for fashion, culture and lifestyle. Her site opens by writing her name in Arabic calligraphy, then lays her projects out on a 3D card slider, each opening into a film-led project page.
What we built
- 01An opening that writes her name in Arabic calligraphy, stroke by stroke, then shrinks it into the header as her logo
- 02A 3D card slider through all her projects, with their films playing on the cards
- 03A page for every project, laid out by hand around its own films and pictures, nothing cropped
- 04Hubs for clients she has made several projects for, and a next-project path through all the work
- 05One sound switch for the whole site: films play silently until you turn it on, one film at a time
- 06A black cover between pages that lifts as soon as the next page's pictures are ready
- 07Films and pictures cut for every screen, fast on a phone on a slow connection
- 08Every page prebuilt and served from Vercel's edge: quick to open, with no server to attack
